  1. emiliano says:

Sunday morning is it a good day or it is not?
Well, having in mind tomorrow we have to work it could be not so good day as
    it is Saturday.
Years ago when I live another life and have to go to the Bank for years and years we did not have Saturdays´s morning as free so the week end was really very short.
Afterward at last we could have to two days at the end of the week as free time and of course Friday´s night was the best moment to relax the mind and have a good rest of all the problems I had at work.
But not only so, it was also the best moment to think about Love, yes why not?
The following day we could remain in bed, not getting up so early as 6.30 a.m.
Relaxing the mind and the body was the best medicine to continue day after day working in a boring work as it was mine.
So easy, so routine that it was necessary for my mind to listen to music or read at evenings after having lunch at 15.30 when I could say good bye, till tomorrow to all my fellows of work.

Now for me it is just the same a Sunday or a Monday, such is life my friends but despite that have a nice Sunday and don think about Monday going to a routine work tomorrow Monday.
Having that, routine or boring work, you have to be happy because there are millions of persons that have not any work at all.

    So long. emiliano

  2. emiliano says:

    TYPING OR WRITING

Yes I miss the pen use some years before but
It seems like a contradiction but I like the keyboard either.
The keyboard has a soft contact too for me, once I rest
my fingers on it, every single finger to its right place I feel
something very special, sometimes it could be as a sensual
caress that make me feel happy.
Other times it could be like the power of seeing the letters
going fast on the screen thinking that in a short time later
these words would be out from home no body knows
on which other screen will be reproduced my own thoughts.

Close to me there is a person that says that my place in the
world is in front of a screen typing fast and searching by
    the web.
Doing that hours seems minutes and I feel happy so
may be this person has a sharp sight to see inside me
    better than me.

Sure it could be so and now it is my chance of saying, yes I like
the keyboard of my computer till the same level than
my lost pen or even more if I am sincere.
The keyboard gives me the option of sending this message
as far as never before I could imagine.
It is like a dream science fiction writers never thought before
and I like to read this kind of books being a your boy.

In fact every single person has the magical opportunity of
being in touch with the rest of our globe.
I could write tipping the softness of my computer thinking
a moment later my words would be out in the cyberspace
something I could never hoped before when I was writing on
    a paper being indoors.

Could be that there is something in the way of typing that
    reflex my mood too.

If I am right everything goes like silk, no mistakes, not missing
words and the mind is clear to write fast and in a short time.
Being just a little nerves or in bad mood I hit the keyboard
with my fingers and the wrong writing appears for sure.

    So long friends.

  3. Tania says:

    Hi,

Dear Emiliano, I think you are my best friend, as I think that
    you care about me really.
Thank you for your nice words to encourage me.
Unfortunatelly, the virus insists to stay with me.
I am feeling weakly , I’d like to be more active at least at our blog. but…

    Best wishes,

    Tania

  4. Tania says:

    Hi,

I like all topics posted by our teachers.
Maybe soon I will be able to post on our dear blog again.

    Best wishes,

    Tania

  5. emiliano says:

Tania, we know each other since a long long time so may be this has been
more than enough to maintain a solid friendship.
Your words has been as balsam for me several times so of course I was
really very worried when I feel your absent from the blog and i did not know
    what was happening.
When you appear and told us about your sickness I feel two real things, one
that you was here again, second that you have an illness but be sure you will
    be good soon.
You know perfectly well that I had also my time being ill for months, and after
that I return even stronger than before-
Here in Spain we have a saying that said:
What does not kill you make you stronger……sure this will be with you, after
being sick with that virus you will be even best.

All my best and sincere wishes to you dear friend Tania. emiliano

  6. Tania says:

    Hi,

    Thank you, dear Emiliano.
I have to follow your advice, I have to be stronger as
    I have many, many troubles.

    Best wishes,

    Tania

  7. Tania says:

    Hi,

Yesterday it was the first day when I wanted to listen to our dear
    teachers after a month.
I have started with the English Cafe 589, about Kenny Rogers.
I know him as a country music singer, but I know nothing about his career.
I think that I know just two or three songs from his hits.
It’s about Lucille and Ruben James.
Listening to Jeff and reading on Wikipedia about Kenny Rogers…
he is a real titan for his hits, he is an icon in American music.
I have listened to some of his hits beginning with The Gambler.
Thank you , dear Jeff, for your explanations and for your performance.
In this way you are closer to us.
I was able to understand better the life of a gambler, to win or to lose
in the game of our life.

    All the best for you,

    Tania

  8. Tania says:

    Hi,

As I like the The Gambler lyrics, may I write them?

“You’ve got to know when to hold’em
    Know when to fold’em
    Know when to walk away
    And know when to run
    You never count your money
When you’re sittin’ at the table
There’ll be time enough for counting
    When the dealin’ s done.
    …………………………………………………
    ‘Cause every hand’s a winner
    And every hand’s a loser.”

  9. Tania says:

    Hi,

    I like and Lady lyrics.

“Lady, for so many years I thought I’d never find you
You have come into my life and, made me whole
Forever let me wake to see you each and every morning
Let me hear you whisper softly in my ear.”

  10. Tania says:

    Hi,

But, please Buy Me a Rose!

“Buy me a rose, call me from work
Open a door for me, what would it hurt
Show me you love me by the look in your eyes
These are the little things I need the most in my life.”

Buy Me a Rose by Kenny Rogers

  11. Tania says:

    Hi,

I think that Kenny Rogers is and a great poet, as I like very much
    the lyrics of his songs.
I have to read more , to read the lyrics of all his hits.

Thank you , Jeff, for this lesson of music and poetry.

  12. emiliano says:

Yes Tania, I knew Kenny Rogers since years, and The Gambler is one of my
    songs.
I like absolutely his voice, in fact I like all country music from USA I may
recommend to you lot of singers that sure you will love too.
Another of my prefer singers is Mary Robbins with an incredible voice, marvelleours
in fact, and they could sing lot of Western Songs, one of the bes know it is
The Hunging Tree that is the soundtrack of the film with Gary Cooper, Maria Schell, Karl Malden and directed by Delmer Daves.
It is a great western film, one of the best of Gary Cooper, but Maria Schell is
    so nice……incredible.
But there are lot of Western singers like Marty Robbins that also sing “EL Paso”
    and several more.
Taylor Swift, very young but also Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and the great great Johnny Cash.

But even one of the best, at least for me, is:

    High Noon
    Frankie Laine

Do not forsake me, oh my darlin’
    On this, our weddin’ day
Do not forsake me, oh my darlin’
    Wait, wait along
I do not know what fate awaits me
I only know I must be brave
And I must face a man who hates me
Or lie a coward, a craven coward
Or lie a coward in my grave
Oh, to be torn ‘tweenst love and duty
    S’posin’ I lose my fair-haired beauty
Look at that big hand move along
    Nearin’ high noon
He made a vow while in state prison
Vowed it would be my life or his’n
I’m not afraid of death but oh
What will I do if you leave me?
Do not forsake me, oh my darlin’

This is also the song of a movie with the same tittle
but here in Spain the tittle was; Solo ante el Peligro.
One of the best, or may be the best for me, western in history.

    Artist:
    Gary Cooper
    Grace Kelly

    Director: Stanley Kramer

Again one of greatest director of Holliwood.
Frankie Laine, High Noon, if you have not listen to the song or you have not
watched the movie “you have not any idea of what have you lost”.

Ja,ja, yes, emiliano is old and have seen may be the best movies in the long long
    story of Holliwood.

I love country singers…..and please don´t forget at

“All the Roadrunning” Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris, she is one of the best too not to say anything about M.Knopfler who is also one of the best guitar player I know.

Sorry, it is enough, another day a little more.

    emiliano

  13. Mary Carmen says:

Hey, Isn’t Johnny Cash who played that Depeche Mode’s song “Personal Jesus”?!

    Cheers

  14. emiliano says:

Mari Carmen, evidently he is….Johnny Cash

    Personal Jesus
    Johnny Cash

    Your own personal Jesus
    Someone to hear your prayers
    Someone who cares
    Your own personal Jesus
    Someone to hear your prayers
    Someone who’s there
    Feeling unknown
    And you’re all alone
    Flesh and bone
    By the telephone
    Lift up the receiver
    I’ll make you a believer
    Take second best
    Put me to the test
    Things on your chest
    You need to confess
    I will deliver
    You know I’m a forgiver
    Reach out and touch faith
    Reach out and touch faith
    Your own personal Jesusmen

Nice personal song, thanks a lot Mari Carmen
    to remember it.
    It´s really beautiful. emiliano
