Aecio ,
Define Bossy
U know it is not Bad to be a bit bossy around ur kids.
I m not taking about corporal disciplines here
Sometimes kids can’t tell wrong from right
Besides they are impressionable
Being bossy , one can keep kids in line
I , for one ,believe in applying a tad of discipline raising kids For their own good. You know , to keep kids in the straight and narrow.
I m childless
Never married
Still playing the field
However , if I had kids I would put set of of laws in place and I would lay down the laws.
I personally believe , parents needs to keep tabs on children at all times man.
let me be absolutly clear on one thing, though
By keeping close tabs on kids , by disciplining kids ,I don’t mean corporal punishment nor flogging kids.
Please don’t round up a possie and come at my door with porches and pitch forks :)))))

Hi, Pete. I know a lot about children, especially those desobidient ones. I used to educate them with tender words but when this atitude didn’t work I had the courage to punish them properly. I had one boy and three girls. They are now grown up, they gave me granchildren, who I love so much. They are the life of my life. God bless them.

Hi,
I have found novels by Kurt Vonnegut at my public library.
I have read “Slaughter House 5”, and now I am trying to read “Galapagos”.
If I can say that I like “Slaughter House 5″, well…”Galapagos” is difficult to read it… I don’t know if I finish it to read.
Anyway, Kurt Vonnegut is a new writer to me. He is mentioned in “1000 Books You Must Read “. So, his works deserve to be read.
Thank you, dear Jeff.
All the best for you,
Tania
Dear Tania last book I have read is:
“Reasons to stay Alive”
from Matt Haig
In his book about his own depression Matt mentioned Kurt Vonnegut
I think but even another great depressives men and women from all
over the world.
Famous in all aspects of life, writers, actors, politicians, artists and so forth
Matt writes a very difficult personal book expecting that this book could be
help for many people who suffers this horrible situation.
It is really very good, better and comprehensive for persons who have
suffers depression.
Which ever of you that could feel or be so, read the book it is really
brave, good and finally optimists.
Now I am in touch with the author Matt, through tweeter and he is a young
man very kind and accessible for his readers, like me.
My best dear Tania, and read the book which ever of you if its possible.
Very useful book by all means.
emiliano
Many people don’t believe but depression kills. If you trend to be in depression, look for some amusement and live longer. Look for people to talk, to laugh and to be around.

Hi Emiliano
Thank you for reading my post and asking me some questions.
I must apologise for late response.
Yes, I know, I should write more, but I have become too busy recently that writing has become a very luxurious hobby for me.
Lucy is right, even though we don’t write, we do read, so don’t think that we have disappeared, we are your loyal readers.
It is nearly 2am in the morning in UK, I should go to bed now.
Look forward to reading more from you, Tania, Pete, Aceio, and everyone including our dear teachers Jeff, Lucy and Warren of course.
Best Wishes

Hi Pete
Thanks for reading the post that I wrote in Toronto Airport.
I didn’t go on holiday in Toronto nor stay in Toronto.
I flew from London to Edmonton (to attend my niece’s wedding ceremony) connecting flight in Toronto, stayed in Edmonton for 6 nights, and then from Edmonton I flew to Vancouver and stayed there for 4 nights (to visit some friends and go sight-seeing) before flying back to London connecting flight again in Toronto.
Unfortunately I didn’t have the privilege to visit Toronto properly this time.
I was going to stopover in Toronto when I found that I would be connecting flights in Toronto. However, the fare almost doubled if I stopover, so I decided not to.
Hopefully I’ll have a chance to visit Toronto one day. It looked very beautiful from the plane.
Pete someone told me that Toronto is better than Vancouver, is it true?
Best Wishes
lili:)
I’ve just watched ESL Podcast 1251 – Getting a Confession and my opinion as always is it is wonderful. Thanks Jeffr and Lucy for the beautiful dialog. Stunning lesson.

Going on with the Dylan subject, I like too much more Leonard Cohen
that also is a poet and his voice is really incredible.
Well he is one of my best, the same like Mark knophler
some lyrics of him:
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died
Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long-stem rose
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that you love me baby
Everybody knows that you really do
Everybody knows that you’ve been faithful
Ah, give or take a night or two
Everybody knows you’ve been discreet
But there were so many people you just had to meet
Without your clothes
And everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows
And everybody knows that it’s now or never
Everybody knows that it’s me or you
And everybody knows that you live forever
Ah, when you’ve done a line or two
Everybody knows the deal is rotten
Old Black Joe’s still pickin’ cotton
For your ribbons and bows
And everybody knows
And everybody knows that the Plague is coming
Everybody knows that it’s moving fast
Everybody knows that the naked man and woman
Are just a shining artifact of the past
Everybody knows the scene is dead
But there’s gonna be a meter on your bed
That will disclose
What everybody knows
And everybody knows that you’re in trouble
Everybody knows what you’ve been through
From the bloody cross on top of Calvary
To the beach of Malibu
Everybody knows it’s coming apart
Take one last look at this Sacred Heart
Before it blows
And everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows

So long Marianne
Won’t you come over to the window, my little darling?
I’d like to try to read your palm
You know I used to think I was some kind of gypsy boy
Before I let you take me home
So long, Marianne, it’s time that we began
To laugh and cry and cry
And laugh about it all again
Well, you know that I love to live with you
But you make me forget so very much
I forget to pray for the angels
And then the angels forget to pray for us
So long, Marianne, it’s time that we began
To laugh and cry and cry
And laugh about it all again
Now we met when was it? We were almost young
We stand by the green lilac park
You held on to me like I was a crucifix
As we went kneeling through the dark
So long, Marianne, it’s time that we began
To laugh and cry and cry
And laugh about it all again
Oh so long, Marianne, it’s time that we began
To laugh and cry and cry
And laugh about it all again
For now, I need your hidden love
I’m cold as a new razor blade
You left when I told you I was curious
Did I ever say that I was brave?
So long, Marianne, it’s time that we began
To laugh and cry, cry
And laugh about it all again
Oh, you are really such a pretty woman
I see you’ve gone and changed your names again
And just when I climbed this whole mountainside
To wash my eyelids in the rain
So long, Marianne, it’s time that we began
To laugh and cry and cry
And laugh about it all again
So long, Marianne, it’s time that we began
To laugh and cry, cry
Laugh about it all again
and dozens of incredible good lyrics
of just these years and before.
Even so, I do think it is somehow estrange
that a singer who writes his songs could
win the Nobel.
Of course that´s my opinion.
Bob Dylan also won the “Principe of Asturias” here in Spain (He didn´t come to receive it, but took the money of course)
Leonard Cohen won too the “Principe of Asturias” and he came of course to receive it very grateful by receiving the
prize.
Just the same prize was received by Woody Allen (who has been here in Spain frequently), J.K. Rowling and a lot of persons like them, who yes, they came to receive the prize.
That´s all my friends.
emiliano
Hi, this is mine not so good of course but real.
LIFE´S SENSE
With twenty two you were the most nice and beautiful
girl I have ever seen.
With twenty three you were the best of my entire world
and I could possess your body and soul.
With twenty seven you were the mother of my three
daughters.
With thirty you filled all our life with your presence and
joy.
With forty you continued being my most precious
treasure.
With fifty you were my reason to go living and
working.
With fifty three it seems everything was changing
by your real pain and suffering.
Now I even love you more and feel the most great
admiration for your endurance.
Yes, it is for my wife.
