  1. Mari Carmen says:

    Good morning

Related to podcast 1222, there are people who certainly treat cars as if they were almost human beings.
My friend Pili used to say that her father was a good driver, loved to have his car tune-up and clean and had a special relationship with cars, for the way he talked about them. For example, he said that none of their cars had ever “slept” in an open air parking lot (so he always parked his cars in a garage). He also said that the car wheels “suffer a lot” when using the brake too much. Interestingly enough, Pili told me that as he saw on the road or in the street a brand new model of car he said that it was still “bleeding”, as if it was a very newborn human baby.
I don’t find it so weird, because for some people cars are an entertainment, a passtime, a way of life.

    Thanks, bye

    Hello..

    I racially profile my cats..
I stop and frisk them before they get inside to see if they carry pests
I pat them down like a TSA agent.

If anyone is wondering…no, I haven’t lost my mind…yet…I just like those terms and wanted to write those down for everyone.
Very important terms that are almost daily presence on the news and impact the lives of many people around the world.

    Thanks…

In Brazil the good era of cars is gone. I remember that time when I would drive my car on the roads, without bumperspeeds, radars and fines. Today the amount of fines they apply on drivers is a way too much and nobody knows where or who the money goes to. It’s a robbery. I treat my car with caress but not that much as in the podcast 1222. Only the amount necessary to keep the car clean and neat.

  5. Dan says:

    Hello Mary

The term that describes that interesting and curious behavior is Anthropomorphism……I knew it but I had to look it up again…that is because it’s a term that I do not usually use.
I am not an expert on the subject, but I guess that we all, at different degrees, engage in that behavior, or even unconsciously…like for example with today’s devices that we carry everywhere.

I wanted to add something about the previous podcast, the one about buffing up security….and I have to quote a video game…
On GTAIV, if I recall that correctly as you got out from the gun store the clerk would shout at you..”Stay safe, stay second amendment ” that was funny, and probably, in most cases, even true.

Thank guys….again, happy 4th of July

So hot today in Madrid´s streets that it is better to be inside
listening good music or ESL podcasts.

It is incredible what is summer here at this my city, but it is
worst in Sevilla or Cordoba where they coud reach up to 44 C
    degrees at the shadow.
Last thirsday in Merida, watching the Rome´s theatre it´s
there, this city was founded by Empertor Augusto, there was
a temperature of 47 C degrees being under the sun but
despite it we were there in the ruins for nearly 2 hours.

Yes, I do think Spanish people are prepared to put up with
ever different temperatures of our country.
May be that´s the reason Spanish Concequerors went through
all America continent, just the same like Portugueses did.

    regards.

    WHAT I SAID ABOUT CATS

It is said that cats do not have emotions, just feelings, and what is worse than we are selfish, thinking only of ourselves and even worst.
All this I think it is said by humans who do not like cats or simply have never had one near them.
They usually say, “I do not like cats” and have never had any at home. ¿ As you may know ? if you have not ever have a cat with you boy.

Cuca is an endearing human whom I love very much, before having me she was thinking something similar about us cats, she thought we seemed selfish and unsociable, now she has absolutely changed her mind when I had my nearby.

I feel she is so ill, poor, almost not moving and I feel great tenderness for her.
I do not quite understand what happens, I have always known clumsy walking, using a “walker” and I loved getting in front of she be barred step sneak underneath it and bars gadget, she stood, she said kind words to me away but never angry with me.

Emi had taught me to sneak under the bar of the walker, was his measure to see if his cat, me, was agile and had not gained weight.
Now the “walker” is not, I think It was dropped to a place outside my house called “storage” but I have not been there. Too bad it must be full of things to play but I do not dare to go outside of my domain.

Now Cuca hardly moves, always sitting and takes a few days nor listening, complains moving hands with difficulty, and is half asleep.
Happens I wonder, say they have a disease called “multiple sclerosis” and must be very bad because every time it shows a little worse.
Not to do so she improves, or smile, I would rise above it but I see insecure and almost no she dares to touch me.

Emi touches me, give me massages, he cover my head with his hand, I kneaded says Cuca, and my everything he does really like it.
It’s very safe when handle me, I do not care that boosts me I carry from one place to another or even put the very strong music and dance with me.

Today came a pretty girl named Leticia, is a doctor who gives massages to Cuca. She lifts his legs, the moves, she moves her arms, makes you sit up, but Cuca can not. You get tired, but thanks very much all the attention she lavishes the doctor.

They say it’s physiotherapist although I was not that word means.
This is the first time I hear that expression, although assimilate the word exercises, movements of the legs, arms, and needs attention for an hour.
Leticia is nice, tolerate even I let her caress me.
She is a good person who likes cats.
I’m tired of telling you things about my life as a cat, another day I could tell you more.

    Myself (Gatufo)

  8. Mari Carmen says:

    Hello Dan

I think I’ve seen that video game that you mention, where characters drive cars badly as they are going and commit crimes; they speed, crash and break stolen cars. There was also an old video or it was a computer game performed by the Simpson family where Hommer drove madly in the streets of Springfield, because the more damaged the car was, the more points the player got. Incredible, I can’t understand it, but it is entertaining for some people. Having a good sense of reality, I don’t mind while it is just fiction.

As for anthromorphism, it is funny how we tend sometimes to attribute human feelings or even a full self to inanimate things.

Happy 4th of July to you too, bye.

BREXIT FEET OUT …. BYE BYE

They already they had one foot out, continued their pound, outside the system metric, with their weights and measures, drive by the left, now took the two feet out of the pot that is the European project and go away.

Bye Bye Europe , we remain even more English than ever
and what lies ahead of us to become the same as we have always been, Anglos and differents.

Scotland does not want to leave Europe, which may mean leaving the UK nor Ireland North wants to go to Europe accompanying England in this suicidal and absurd exit, it will be interesting watching the end of the United Kingdom.

Seems it will be “the perfect storm” in Europe and the rest of the world, but in my very humble opinion not explain that will mean the “Brexit” for us who think it is better to be inside than outside.

Always better together not disintegrated, best free movement around Europe to lift borders, better a common currency back to the old diversity, and so a long list of advantages unit not in separatism.

However , even tastes there are for all this is not a matter of taste, it is a topic to learn “is voted” that the consequences of saying yes or no and that’s asking too much of the intelligence of the voter.

Just seems will happen here in Spain, which helped by “leaks” or “mini – coups”, many people proceed to collective suicide disorientated between bad and worse, and as usual the unthinking will go toward ” the worst “which means the hara-kiri or sepeku of what a recent game, artificially created by the disinformative means four and sixth, calling itself ” can “and wanting to grab the votes of the” Eurosceptics “/” hispanoescepticos “/” outraged “and other discontented with everything, thinking they have nothing to lose will end up losing everything, bringing this country to the most destructive disintegration imaginable.

Guilty, many, starting with those who now rule and are bent to keep all the rotten structures.
Following by a decrepit leaders and politicians, in wars, psoe led by a leader in freefall cropper of the worst results ever obtained his party.

And of course , blame us, citizens disoriented by the absolute disinformation about TV garbage that manipulate the feelings of citizens desencatados with the prevailing “mediocrity” without shame.

Like in Britain the crack will have it very soon and will not serve the Brexit English or better the “English separatism” led by mindless leaders who cling to the chair as if lifeguard were, shame.

Even now that the disaster is finished they are leaving their seats as they don´t know what is going to happen with their country.
It is really very sad just to see what these absolute incredible bad English politicians has done with their country.
