We have just received a present from our teachers. It’s about the issue 12 of the Learn English Magazine.
    I like it very much.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
And the desire to be with your family, with those you love is more powerful on winter holidays.
I can understand you, dear Jeff, when you tell us that you miss your father.

I lost my father when I was 24. I miss him as we always need someone to protect us, to encourage us.

    All the best for you,

    Tania

    Helo world
Just recently , I m talking about last Novemever which is last month ,the Essencia Art Collective showed perfect timing and great creativity by making rather drawing a mural , the theme : Global warning. The moral was done mid-November to underline the new wave that the summet in Paris initiated regarding finding a universal solution to what turns out to be the biggest threat threatening the life on planet earth -that is- the unsettling pace with which the climate is changing in every nook and cranny across the world.

The mural which was deliberately completed in one of the high traffic area in the city on a long ,big wall right under a overpass featuring animals from polar bear to awl , and whale ;beautiful scenery; various images of people in hazmat suits , gas masks , goggles ;and so on.
I saw the mural myself. It is beautifully done.
A very thoughtful drawing yet alarming of what is coming next if every one of us don’t rise to the occasion and do sth about it.
Well , unfortunately , not everybody think along the same line as me. They complained that the mural is scary. The rumour has it that people even went further and wants the down.
I can’t understand what the fuss is all about
It is a very thoughtful painting.
If anything , it is soothing!!!

Anyway ,the heated discussion around the mural has made it a very famous mural. people take the time to go see it , I hear.

    🙂
    Pete

  5. peter says:

There is a online petition about the artwork
Everybody is welcome to weigh in.
U know , some people demanding some part of the mural change. But , I personally belive it will damage the fellow and integrity of the work. The work collectibely is trying to convey a message regarding a globe issue endangering life on the planet.
A globe issue requires global viewer’s perspective.

I m telling you , the mural has been the subject of some heated discussion around here.

    🙂
    Pete

  6. Dan says:

    Hi Pete

As I am always curious, I took a look at the mural through a video posted on You Tube.

The only scary thing I saw was the gray cold clouded sky.

The painting looks well done, but I am not sure it’s representing reality or what is going on correctly.

If the bottom line is : Look, we have a problem and we need to do something in order to fix it or at least to patch it, so do something. Who can argue with such a message? I am not.

On the other hand, if it want to represent us humans as “the Evil” that is destroying the planet, I do not agree.

By the way, my personal opinion about roads where you actually drive a vehicle, is that there should be nothing there, not even ads, because they are distractions for the drivers.

If you wanna do a mural do it in pedestrian areas of the cities or green areas.

Think that during the Summer season I would ban hot women from the streets where I am driving because they distract me. heheh hahah huhuuh. 🙂

Not really. I am just throwing that out as a provocation for the blog’s women to see it they react to that. hehehehhe hihihihi.

    Thanks Bye

  7. Dan says:

    Hey, it’s me again, sorry.

I just wanted to add that as a gift for next year, I would like to see here on the blog a Peter for every country of the Globe.

And with that I am not kissing Pete’s @#£.

Come on guys! if Peter is writing so much with his huge thumb using his little phone’s keyboard, anyone can do the same. hihihih hehehe.

Hey, how does it feel when I am writing down the stupid evil laugh?

    Anyways, bye.

  8. Dan says:

    Sorry, I really am,

I have got a brilliant idea. Here it is:

Can we have a day out from the month where we criticize one another?

I have to say something about Aecio. hihihi hehehe huuhuh.

  9. peter says:

    Greeting people ,
As I m walking to the bus station early in the morning , I m thinking,” man , it is unseasonably warm.”
I bet , all Torontonians , like me , are enjoying the spring like temperature right in the beginning of the notorious harsh winter in this subarctic country.
    The weather is pleasant.
    no doubt!!!
where this wave of warm ,humid weather coming from ? ,the scary thought creeping in the back of some people’s mind.

Is it a prelude of what is coming next ? : extreme weather conditions that ravage the balance in the beautiful rock we call “home plant. ”
Now that I think of it. The mural is not scary but the looming reality that it represents.
The reality that becomes a fact if life for some.
In China the heavy smog engulfing the capital force the government to issue red alert and shutdown schools and businesses

Some small countries on coast lines loosing sleep over the alarming increase of ocean level due to ongoing meltdown of Glaciers and ice sea.
The enhanced cyclones , rain and other weather related disaster

Some still argue , let’s not get ahead of ourself.
    Are we ?
    Really ?!!!

    🙂
    Pete

  10. emiliano says:

Good idea Dan, go ahead. emiliano

  11. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

Hi, evrybody. As I have read your words, everything looks to be all right. So do I.
    Aecio

  12. Dan says:

    Hey Hi.

Hi Emi, I see that I have gained a supporter. hihihih.

    Hey Pete,

I have noticed that lately you have take a turn towards the paranoiac side. Earlier with the gun issue and now with climate change.

Do not worry too much friend, everything is going to be fine.

The planet experienced destruction at a global scale several times even long before we pop out here.

Do not get me wrong! those are legitimate issues to take under consideration and fixed up.

    Thanks

  13. peter says:

    Hey Dan
    So
    Basically
What doesn’t kill you , makes you stronger?

    🙂
    Pete

  14. Dan says:

    Yep Pete.

That’s a truth. Not always though. I do not like generalizations, but often that is true.

Again, do not worry too much about guns, there are higher chances of getting a brain aneurism next time Aecio says for the millionth time he’s the first one. hehehhihi.

Sorry Aecio, but you know, sometimes, at turns, one has to get up and “rock the boat”. That is useful and recommended by my doctor.

  15. Tania says:

    Hi,
    I like English Cafe 532.
Very trendy (in my country) the word homeopathy, the treatment of disease by drugs, usually in minute
doses, that in a healthy person would produce symptoms like those of the disease.
We have many homeopaths, experts in homeopathy, and many persons believe in homeopathy.
    We call it “homeopatie”.
Frankly, I have thought that homeopathy is about of medicinal herbs having healing properties.
We always have something to learn.

    Thank you.

  16. Tania says:

    Hi,
Very trendy is and the phrase “risk/ hazard and opportunities” in business.

Thank you for the explanation of the phrase “what for? ” and ” and for what?”

  17. peter says:

    Hey Dan
U know , terror can take different forms
When the idea of second comendment that every body has the right to bear guns for protection becomes the only way of feeling safe is the day that nobody will be safe.
The perpetual mass shooting has been going on is for the most part the result of easily and legally attainable guns.

I personally bekive ,the people who are deliberately stonewalling the attempt to put more restriction to the law as opposed to the existing leeway approach are terrorist themselves.

    🙂
    Pete
