Hi! Thank you Dan that you are worry about me.
I apologize to you all because I did not post on our blog. After a week or two I always realize that
I don’ t have to lose the contact with you.
This blog is a part of me and I want to continue to be a good blog friend.
From time to time there is a period when I am very busy at my job and I can’t concentrate
    on our English lessons.
It’s like in gym. If you interrupt it you have to start from the beginning with many difficulties.

  2. Tania says:

    Hi!
Yes, I like very much the true stories like the Massie trial or Fargo.
When you started telling the story I was remembering the movie “Blood & Orchids”.
In February 1986, CBS TV aired a four-hour miniseries titled “Blood & Orchids”
based on the novel by Norman Katkov. I don’t know the year when it was aired in my country, anyway later.
In a little town like mine, the interesting TV miniseries can be considered an event.
I was impressed by this unfair trial. I think that Katkov’ version it is that valid.

  3. Tania says:

    Hi!
Witnesses reported seeing Thalia followed by a white man only minutes before the rape took place.
This information was never reported in the trial.
Rumors began to develop and spread through the city . Thalia had not been raped at all.
It was said that she was having an illicit relationship , an affair with one of her husband ‘s shipmates.
And the racial tensions were very well described in the movie.

Thank you for remembering this nice movie , of course , in my opinion.

  4. Tania says:

    Hi!
Maybe one of the most beautiful painting is “The Three Graces”.
According to the Wikipedia , Thalia (the name of the main character from Blood & Orchids), in ancient Greek religion,
was one of the three Graces with her sisters Aglaea and Euphrosyne.
They were usualy found dancing in a circle. Thalia was the godess of festivity and rich banquets.
The Greek word thalia is an adjective applied to banquets, meaning rich, plentiful, luxuriant and abundant.

  5. Tania says:

    Hi!
I now understand the names Aglaea and Eufrosina used in my country.
Of course , nowadays they are archaisms.

  6. Tania says:

    Hi!
According to the Wikipedia, Thalia (Grace), in Greek religion, is one of the nine muses, patron of comedy.
In her hands she carried the comic mask and the shepherd’s staff.

  7. Tania says:

    Hi!
In my country the acacia is in blossom… white perfumed blossoms…a lot of hardworking bees.
For sure we will have much sweet honey.
