  1. Dan says:

    Hi, anybody here?

I was wrestling with myself on whether writing something or not.

At times, a white page, a moment of silence, a pause is needed.

At the same time though, this page look so sad without someone around the globe visiting and leaving a thought or something.

Not really important to say, just that I am doing great.

For a couple of week I am having a grandma. That is my neighbor downstairs from Germany visiting here.
She is a really nice lady still very capable even though she is 80 year old.

I am pleased to helping her out with whatever she needs: a ride at the supermarket, fixing things and so on.

I know, I know, I am the perfect neighbor 🙂

    Thanks.

  2. Betty says:

    Hi Dan, Hi Everyone

May I join in to say something here?

You are right, Dan, it is very quiet here because Emiliano has gone to London, Tania does not have internet connection for two weeks and Peter may be busy working.

We have many great writers/thinkers in this blog but not everyone has the time to keep writing a lot like Emiliano does. We should give Emiliano a big round of applause when he resumes his writing here next week.

I enjoy everyone’s messages, perhaps because it is like a way to see the world inside out. We tell each other what is happening in our own countries or in our own home. We become the silent world journalists.

Dan you are such a great ‘grandson’ for your neighbor. It is good to help when we can.

Do you remember Warren once told us the story of a family helping a stranger repairing a burst tyre (US. tire) and rejected offer of money by saying ‘Today you, tomorrow me’ ?
(The Tire Iron and the Tamale , Thursday, March 31st, 2011)

One day you will be old and someone else will help you like you are helping others today.

    Best Regards

    Betty 🙂

  3. Dan says:

    Hi Betty,

    Thank you.

I do remember that post. I did the same thing. I have been offered money, but I refused it.
I like that simple philosophy of helping each others. After all she is helping her husband with alzheimer 24/7.
And I am helping her. That’s the right thing to do.

Yes, Emiliano is having fun while I am here slaving! Just kidding. 🙂
