Talking about movies I could say also that I liked “Argo” very much, I think it was also one of the best of last year.
It was also a great surprise to me when I saw Ben Affleck as a good actor, producer and even director of “Argo”.

Some time we have the wrong idea about an actor or a person and afterward this person/actor gives us the surprise
and we could see clearly our first impresión was wrong.

    Highly recommended film also.
More even for people, like me, that could remember perfectly well the events.

  2. Dan says:

    Thank you Emiliano.

I do not even remember the last movie I saw. That was many months ago.

I am always looking at the news, especially from the US. This last week was unbelievable.
With what happened in Boston and that BIG explosion in Texas.

Have you seen that explosion? that was HUGE! I read it was felt 80 miles away.

I am sure you followed that too.

    Have a nice weekend

Thanks a lot for the last podcasts, which were of great interest to me.. a lot about nature, woods, and weather..
living here, far from what you name the “civilization”(which, by the way, makes me smile..it just like we are not
a part of that, we who live in small villages;)))..I need to know a lot of words that are related to the environment.
And just now it`s turning into spring here, still snowcapped mountains..but I couldn`t appreciate the spring
so much if we didn`t experience this cold winter.

Thanks to all you members blog posts, one day, I hope to be as good as you..when it comes to language, that is;)

    Enjoy the day!

  4. Tania says:

Hi! I saw those incredible news on TV, too.
I am frightened as and my country can be the target of a terrorist attack.
Too many innocent persons can die…

  5. Tania says:

Hi! I watched “Argo”, the movie at the cinema. A good movie.
We have a new and modern cinema and I sometimes like to go to the cinema. A new feeling, a new vision…
I go on foot to the cinema combining the pleasure with the movement to be in a good shape.

Monday, monday…..as the song of “Mamas and the Papas” like another from them “California dreaming”
wich was in the same single vinilo. I really love these songs and got knowledge of there was a land called
    California where life seems perfect.
There were hippies who carries flowers in their hands when you went to San Francisco .(if you come to
San Francisco you will see people with flowers in their hands….the happy sixty decade all ove the world).
Yes, it was like a dream with hippies, Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Simon and Garfunkell….and in the
other side, Kenedy´s assassination, the Cuban missile crisis, Vietnan war, and finally May of 1968 in
Paris where everything started to changed.
Cold war was very hot with thousands of missiles pointing to the contrary and people didn´t care about
the matter, we all know that in second world could be over and we all try to live our life as it could be
    the last second each momento.

“Forrest Gump” movie gives a good idea about all this.
Kenedy´s president and his brother were assassinated, M.L.King was assassinated, Germany was divided
and Berlin was an isolated city.
Black Power was in USA, and at last black people could get their rights to vote and to mix in the schools
and universities with the whites. It cost thousands of deads, the great disturbs in L.A. when M.L.King
    was assassinated.

We lived at the top and the music was wonderful, the best along years.
Beatles, Rollings, Elvis, Bob Dylan, and hundred of good singers and groups.

Nice to have another monday morning in the Blog.

  7. emiliano says:

    Tuesday
Good morning dear friends of the Blog.
    ————
Tuesday = Middle English tewesday, Old English t?wesdæg (cognate with Old High German z?estac, Old Norse ty?sdagr ), orig. phrase T?wes daeg Tiu’s day, translating Latin di?s M?rtis day of Mars. See Tiu, ‘s1 , day.
The name Tuesday derives from the Old English “Tiwesdæg” and literally means “Tiw’s Day”.[1] Tiw is the Old English form of the Proto-Germanic god *Tîwaz, or Týr in Norse, a god of war and law.
The Latin name dies Martis (“day of Mars”) is equivalent to the Greek ????? ?????. In most languages with Latin origins (French, Spanish, Catalan, Italian, Romanian, Galician, Sardinian, Corsican, but not Portuguese), the day is named after Mars, the Roman god of war.
    ————
So today it is the day of the Roman god of war but also for other as Nordic/Germans origins it is also the god of law.
Here in Spanish it is “Marte dios de la guerra”, but I hope this has to be a day of peace.

Peace for every one of you friends of the blog.
I was up at 8 a.m. to see the mails, the ESL blog and gatufo blog also, while dear Cuca was in the bed sleeping a Little more.
Once I was up Gatuflo left the bed and come with me to take the sun and look through the window to the Street.

Still there is not a new porst of our English professors so I just write here again.

Now at my right side there is Cuca writing to our daughter Eva. Every morning she has a new message from Eva, Cuca read it
eagerly and start to reply her just immediately.

For the last eleven years or more every morning happens the same, Cuca looks for Eva´s message, read it, see what Eva
have sent to her, movies, power points, links, etc. and after that Cuca replies our daughter telling her all the news or opinions
she has about the last day. The last movie we have seen or which ever thing she could thing it is interesting.

Now Eva and Cuca seems more like good friends instead of mother/daughter. Writing each other for more than eleven years
everyday seems to me you can make a good friendship apart of the familiar relation between them.

Good for them both. Cuca needs the messages of Eva and look forward them every morning and I think for Eva there is a
    similar expectation.

Some how it is odd? Well may be, but it is really beauty having in mind Eva it is more than 3000 km. from home now.

That is all my friends for this morning, I have to look the papers and possible go for a walk to get some euros from the
bank´s authomatic cashier, always a risk if it is in the middle of the street.

    Have a good day.

    emiliano
