  1. emiliano says:

Bravo Sting, one of my best singers too.
Yesterday he was in Bataclan, Paris, a year after
    the dreadful terroristic massacre.
With his music he inaugurate again Bataclan
    in Paris.

Never they could defeat the music Sting said.

  2. Tania says:

    Hi,
I saw on TV about Sting and Bataclan, too.
And about Leonardo Cohen… he was in my country with his wonderful songs for three times in the last years.

  3. Tania says:

    Hi,

Dan, is that you, our dear blog friend from Italy?
I was sure that you will come back. Please don’t leave again. We need you in our blog team.
In November we celebrate the birthday of our dear blog friends Dan and Aecio.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

    Best wishes,

    Tania

  4. emiliano says:

Sooner or later Cuca will be not here at home with me, I try not to think too much about it, but ahead it is the real fact.
What will I do, not any idea but it is sure that the house will be not home any more.
Multiple Sclerosis is making it´s bad work inside her and after resisting me for a long time at last it has been necessary to ask for a nursing where she could receive a good care.
Doctor said me that once and again, so finally after talking with the social assistant and listening to her I gave my arm twisted and have done what they told me.
May be a year of waiting, six months, I don´t really know but little by little my mind is accepting the idea of letting her going out home.
In some way it is possible she could be better than here but not me that start to miss her before the fact happens.

    Where is the sun,
    where is the sky,
    where is my love.
    where she has gone.
    Far away from home
    you need to go
    what can I do
    when you be not.
    Too much to feel
    too much to think
    not now but soon
    she will be not home.
    Without you I must go
    extrange I will feel
    inside these extrange walls
    when you will be not.

    emiliano

    (my feelings before she went)

Now physically she is better but we miss each other so much…..it´s difficult.

  5. emiliano says:

As you may understand what is happening out there
has not so much transcendence to me.
Writing here gives me some peace, being so critic
with the power it is something I have always done
being young and now even more.
I am not going to change just an inch of what I have
    being for so long time.

As in the book “Lord of the Rings” and Maquiavelo
“The power corrupts” and the absolute Power
    corrupts absolutely.

Always is necessary to be alert against it.

It is always the same song, here, there, in Afghanistan,
Irak, Siria, or which ever land we like to look.
It was in Germany absolutely, and may be now in
    Europe or EE.UU:
George Orwell advise us what will be going to live
    in future.
Big Brother is among us my friends.

Hillary – Trump it is just the same.
    Same horses with different heads.
But here in my country or Europe
    just the same…..same donkeys
    with different hearts or heads.

Now Europeans politics are alarmed because
USA is going to take off its money
    from the Otan.
Logical, this country EE.UU. is helping
Europe always, now Trump says it is
enough, not much money or even
less, every one has to look for its
own house and I could understand him
    perfectly well.
    Help,Help, Help us, says Europe
    along history.
    Please, USA help us……

Future it is just an enigma
    for the Europeans.
Leaders here seems to be very alarmed
ja,ja, it is funny after all.

Sorry for you the young generation, not so sorry
for me that I am quite old already and lacking
just the person I love more.

Which ever thing it is going to happens me
I do not care any more.
Living without any fear has been always my way
like in the song of Frank Sinatra.

    Regards.

  6. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

Hello, friends. Sorry about being absent cfor long, but I’m back, from Brazil. I have read your comments about all ESL podcast. I appreciate you all.
About the impressons of Emiliano reffering to Hilary-Trump, both are crazy. Poor American people.
    Aecio

  7. Tania says:

    Hi,
Dear Emiliano, new to me this poem, “Powerful Gentleman is Don Money”, by Francisco de Quevedo.
Taking into account that that poem was written in 1620… its leit motif is actual.

“Over kings and priests and scholars
Rules the mighty Lord of Money!”

Thank you, dear Emiliano, and for your nice poems.

Best wishes to you and Cuca,

    Tania

  8. Tania says:

    Hi,
I have watched on TV 2016 Grand Prix of Figure Skating, France.
One of the girls danced on the song “All by Myself”, Celine Dion’s version.
First I recognized the title, and then the music… Oh, English Cafe 566!

    Thank you.

  9. Tania says:

    Hi,
As it is interesting to talk about new “holistic class divisions”, the need for an anti systemic movement
of a new type, about the establishment… maybe our teachers can explain us these new trends.

    Thank you.

  10. Peter says:

Dear warren u were kind enough to explain what electoral college is.

Now would u be so kind as to explain
    What is “popular vote” ?
And how does it effect the outcome of the general election

What is the difference between popular vote and electoral college

    Thanks

  11. emiliano says:

Yes Tania, it is could be applied to just now as persons don´t changed an inch
    when money is the matter.

Without money it is nearly impossible to have power, just see which is the
money Hillary or Trump have, even how much money it is necessary to
make an electoral campaign millions and millions of dollars.

Once a person gets the power it is easy to get even too much money, and
    the wheel goes on.

Thats talking about politic but in real life it is just the same, if you have
money you could seems that there is a gentleman or a lady which ever
place you go, travel, and so forth without it you are another one similar
    to millions.

Francisco de Quevedo is one of the best writers of the Spanish Gold
Century and he wrote poetry, literature, novels, and was always a
satiric and critic man till the point that Inquisition wanted to go
    against him.
He was in prison too just for his satiric way of writing and critics
to the power of the age.
Me too living in Quevedo´s time that´s for sure as reading my personal
blog where I spare no one. (we say here: not leave puppet with head)
some body could be angry with emiliano.
Having nearly a million of readers I am not going to change my style.

Thanks Tania, as always you are really kind.

    emiliano

  12. emiliano says:

As he did here in Spain Bob Dylan will take the money but he is not
going to Stockholm at the ceremony on 10th December where the
    rewards are given.

Never I have liked him as singer, as writer, and now as person
too proud of himself along all his life and this is his finish off.

It would better and more properly for him to refuse the MONEY and
the reward together, but not he takes the money and do not appear
may be he has not enough dollars and need more.

Doing that is not to be proud of oneself I think he acts like
a mean an it is not an example to follow.

    Fuel to the fire.

  13. emiliano says:

Just and example for Mr. Dylan.

On 18 March 2010 Grigori Perelman was announced that he had met the criteria to receive the first Clay Millennium Prize for resolution of the Poincaré conjecture.
On 1 July 2010, he turned down the prize of one million dollars, saying that he considered the award unfair and that his contribution to solving the Poincaré conjecture was no greater than that of Richard S. Hamilton.

Something similar was said by him when on August 2006, Perelman was awarded the Fields Medal for “his contributions to geometry and his revolutionary insights into the analytical and geometric structure of the Ricci flow.” Perelman declined to accept the award or to appear at the congress, stating:
“I’m not interested in money or fame; I don’t want to be on display like an animal in a zooing”

If you don´t want to appear in a zoo of prizes (the Nobel of Literature) decline everything the reward, the medal and the money, like this Russian mathematic said and did.

But there are very few of us that could do such a thing, by the way this man Gregori is doing his usual job in S. Petersburg earning
a salary as other researches over there.

    +++++

Sure, I will not reject a million dollars and of course I was willing to go and receiving my prize as a bloger if I could receive such a reward that is impossible, despite thinking that Jeff or Lucy were my teachers.
Receiving it I could said this man and this woman were my teachers, as Leonard Cohen told here in Oviedo´s ceremony when he mentioned to the man (a Spaniard ) who taught him to play the Spanish guitar when he was living in Toronto and Cohen was a young singer that plays the guitar badly.
L.Cohen listened to the Spanish in a park where he was playing and singing, be in touch with him and after making a demonstration
of how Leonard plays the young singer said, you play the guitar so bad my friend, may you teach me? asked Mr. Cohen, and the Spanish said, yes I can.
The story follows being sad as after some time the young Spanish took off his life and Cohen had not more lessons, but he never
forget the person who taught him how to play the guitar and made the music to his poems.
Leonard Cohen was a gentleman in all ways.

After my Blog´s ceremony I could share the money (the million dollars)with Jeff and Lucy, that´s for sure.
Yes, it could be a good idea.
