The podcast #968 is very useful and practical.
But talking to an answering machine in the USA could be a problem now and then, especially for foreigners.
I have personal experience from my USA trip in 2012.
My bag got lost by an airline. I had to call and talk to answering robots.
It was not a human, but it tried to comprehend your speech.
Understanding my last name or even the spelling was complicated for the robot, because my pronunciation, I suppose. Not mentioning other complicated questions, requiring human intelligence.
It took a long time when the robot decided to switch my call to a human. I was stressed a lot of course.
Maybe, you could prepare a podcast devoted to this topic.

Hey guys,
Today my cat taught me a lesson.
Since today was a beautiful sunny and windy day, I taught of take a part my bed and putting everything outside on the balcony.
One of my cat, pissed on the duvet cover (podcast 497).
At that point my only option, after cursing after the culprit, was to take the cover and get it washed.
Well, thank to him (cat) I finally washed the duvet cover and the pillowcases.
And I have learned that sometimes we get angry for nothing because even from something bad that happens there is also the positive side.
Tonight I am going to sleep like an angel on my new, fresh, sunny smelly bed.

Again in the academy we have two young persons, a girl called Maria Jose and a boy called Emiliano.
None of them knew nothing about the other, but the shy girl started to talk with Emiliano and she doesn´t
know, even now, why?.
He, you are a new comer she said.
Yes I am, my name is emiliano.
Mine is Maria Jose, is it your first day here?
No, I came yesterday but you were not.
Yes, I was at home just a little sick.
Are you well now?
Yes, of course, it was something very common.
Then, the professor gives a paper to the girl and say her that the
exercise of rubbish strake in N.Y., was o.k., but he thinks she could do a better redaction next.
Emiliano look at her with a smile on his face and says; so the exercise was yours, I liked it very much when
Mr. Pelegrín read it yesterday aloud, I thought it was funny and was looking for the person who writes it, so now
I have found the person, you of course, congratulations it is a nice very good exercise.
– Oh, thank you emiliano, you are really kind.

Talking that way they remain for ten minutes, suddenly the boy who was out (the boyfriend of her, thought emiliano) returned and the conversation was over.
What a pity, thought emiliano, what a nice beautiful girl is this one Maria Jose, I would like to talk more with her…. emiliano thoughts were very
fast always, and without knowing nothing about the girl he thought she was really very nice and cheerful.
What are she doing with this boy?, what different they are, thought by himself this boy in his second day at Jorge
Juan academy, and he was right without knowing anything about the girl and her boyfriend.
They were absolutely different and soon these differences will be so evidently that their life will turn and will separate one
from the other for ever.
No one of the three youngs know anything about this premise, future is always ahead of our life and we know nothing about tomorrow.
With this feelings and thoughts the end of the class was soon and he find himself walking beside Cuca, talking with her vividly, how has
been so?, no matter, he was cheerful and happy to be at her side going up Jorge Juan street.
Till where?, it doesn´t matter to him, it was just a pleasure to be close this nice beautiful girl who was absolutely new for him.
Yes, this situation was repeated some times along February, March and even April, till a day in this last month when Maria Jose
came to the class without her boyfriend Jose Luis.
This day was crucial in the life of them both, it was a day to remember always for them in future as being alone for nearly
one hour inside the class they could talk for long feeling themselves and their feeling very close.
They were so confortable talking one with the other that without knowing what was happening it was clear for emiliano
that he likes M.Jose.
Beside she started to think what she was doing dating a boy, Jose Luis, who she could not talk as well as she
was doing with this one?, for her, emiliano was a nice boy to talk with, being confident and she feel very confortable being
at his side.
That´s was absolutely clear for her just from this day of April.
Spring was exploding without any noise and feelings were skin deep in Madrid

I remember of Nebraska movie, a 2013 American comedy-drama film, where it is about a mail scam.
Thanks to Warren I could understand the meaning of the “mail scam”.
“Nebraska” has received five Golden Globe Award nominations.

Love in a Changing Wold….
Walks to Cuca´s house were finishing some time elapses and without any walks chats between the two youngs were also difficult.
Only their chats could continued if Jesus and Jose Luis were out to smoke or to take the air, then Cuca and Emiliano talk about
different subjects that the two young could be interested.
They were really interesting about what was happening out their Spanish world.
Young movements were increasing through the world but the most important subject to be against was Vietnam´s War.
Of couse Emiliano was against the war too, and he read everything that was written about it.
What were doing american soldiers in this country?, he thought, nothing was clear or undestable about the war
and to him who rejected all kind of them, this one was specially worst.
By the time many American soldiers were deserting, and even youngs of that country forced to military service and
therefore be mobilized was crossing the borders of Sweden, Canada or Australia for not going to that war.
Vietnam War was one of the most most rejected, portrayed, and hated of the wars till that moment.
All wars are awful but this one was even more.
There were world movements against the War, even some popular reactions like Hippies in the USA and some more in Europe.
The popular music was full of peacefully songs written and singed by Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, John Lenon and some other more
that made incredible good songs.
One of the best songs written by Lenon on 1971 was “Imagine”

Even songs written following the Hippie movement were famous and emiliano liked so much as to talk about them to
his secret loving girl Cuca that was enchated listening to him.

So, Emiliano´s mind was always full of these subjects, Vietnam´s war news, movements, songs, the
hippies in California, and what is was the rule in Spain then, all the students movements against Franco´s
dictorshipment that were growing up inside all the universities of the Nation.
Even in France, German and other European countries student movements were growing up furiously
against the social strictly rules that not were accepted by a new young generation.
May of 1968 in Paris was ahead, and everything would be changing since that global movement and
incredible protest in the streets of Paris and other European cities.
This couple, Cuca and Emiliano, have such a lot of subjects to talk about that was impossible for
them to stop their chatings.
