I have been there , done that.

A few years back , I was going through a rough patch. I wasn’t doing good financially. I had a serious money problem. Well , as you know the bills never stop coming.
my desk was flooding with piles of overdue bills.
I was so desperate! I was at the end of my rope.
Well , stupid that I am , I restored to borrowing a lot of money from a lot of bad people.
The money helped me pull through. I mean helped me to get passed the sticky patch.
But , the story never end there.
The due time for the money I borrowed came up. As u can guess , I starting to procrastinate paying my debts.
Well , as a result , collection agencies starting calling me at any hours of the day. I m telling u , my phone was ringing off the hook.
U know , they are very persistent people.
    They never quit calling.
Anyway Long story short , I ended up borrowing money from my mom to settle
    The debt.
Well , good thing my Mom has not send a shark after me yet:))))
God forbid u should enjoy your life a bit. Immediately debts pile up on u.
The word collection on the title of the latest episodes took me back to those horrible days. It brought up all those terrifying memory that I have been trying hard to forget. U know , I blocked out that period of my life completely, Some sort of suppressed memory of you will.
However , I learned my listen.
Even if I have to eke out my days , I do so ,to keep the wolf from the door.
I haven’t listened to the episode yet but I know for sure that the audio clip has a lot to offer.
    I m still half sleep
So I will get to it later on once I climb out of bed.

    That will do for now
    Catch u later
    Pete

  4. Dan says:

    Hey

Is Wednesday podcast about porn or sex? hahahaha:-)
I do not know you guys but I am looking forward to Jeff’s explanation of Suck versus Lick.
I am curious to see how he handles the delicate subject.

I was reading about the poet Frost. Have you guys noticed that often times Poets or Painters Writers too, have mental illness running through many of the family members?

I know something about that because I have experienced that personally.
All three members of my ex wife had mental issues. I witnessed strange things while living with them.

That is why I am now suspicious of those that refer to themselves as Poets Painters and sometimes Writers.

    Thanks

  5. Dan says:

    Sorry me again

I was wondering: if that about suck and lick is a question from a listener, I want to know who that is.
I want to know his/her country. That’s in my opinion wins for the most weird question asked.

Hey Pete is that you? asking that question? LOL

Sorry I know I acting kind of silly.

  6. Tania says:

    Hi,
Dear Emiliano, thank you. You always are a very good friend.
    Very, very sad, indeed.

As I have some problems for two weeks I will write less.
I’ll try to read LEARN ENGLISH MAGAZINE.

    I miss you all,

    Tania

  7. peter says:

I m weired but not that weired 🙂
    Hey Dan
Get ur mind out of the gutter :)))))

The question is totally valid 🙂
As a matter of fact ,The question got me thinking!
    What is really the difference?
I must say , I m with you on that!
It is indeed Eslpod all-time weirdest question )

Must be fun listening to Jeff answering it ;)))
    Looking forward to it
I m sure , Jeff’s answer is gonna be the highlight of my this coming week.:))

    🙂

  8. José says:

    Good morning from Spain.
Today is a good day to learn English, and the best day of the week to start to work. I’m not sure why but maybe is because the Mondays is the first day of the week, or perhaps is because this daybreak was raining and dark and I feel like staying at home listening the podcast of today because it keeps raining still.

    José.

  9. peter says:

    Hey Jose ,

I m all about positive thinking. And I love to walk under the rain. I love rainy days.
The best experience I ever had in a rainy day is walk to a local Starbusk and people-watch while seeping on a scolding dark-roasted , venti coffee.
You know , I observe people who walk in Starbucks , each individual react differently to a wet day : some embrace it , some hate to get wet. You can tell from the face they make while entering.
However ,I must say , I don’t like to go to work on Mondays.
I m an owl . I like to stay up late. So, as u can guess, I have a hard time rolling out of bed in the morning.
on Mondays, it is all the more difficult.
Ur name is not familiar to me. So , I m guessing, it is a safe bet to presume you are a new kid around the old blog :))
No worries , we have all been a new kid around the blog once.:)
Happy to see more of you around the blog.
I must say , I like the way you write
Keep up the good work, mate

    Best regards
    Pete
