  1. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

As always, I’m the first one to post words here. That’s because I live in Brazil where the schedule is 5 hours in advance related to L.A. This week looks like to be wonderful with all the subjects promised to come out. God for us.
    Aecio

  2. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

Jeff and Lucy, have you thought about a dialog with a trial, with defendant, lawyers, prosecute, and something? I appreciate your attention on this subject.
    Aecio

  3. Dan says:

    Hey Aecio,

Have you tried with the search tool in the main page of the website?

Look for lawyer or prosecution. You’ll find a bunch of podcasts on the subject.

    bye.

  4. Dan says:

    Hey guys,

Today I would like to share with you something I have learned recently.

It is a term and it belongs to the world of video games, but not only that.

The term is “procedurally generated” I did not know what that meant and had to look it up online.

The term means that everything you see on the screen is generated by mathematical equations.

It is a huge game where you have to explore an entire Universe and that is possible tanks to this game engine.

The game is called No Man’s Skye and is under development by a tiny game producer based in a small town just out of London.

I thought this is cool and worth mentioning.

    Thanks

  5. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

Thanks, Dan. I will do the search and I hope to find something real useful to me.
    Aecio

  6. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

Dan, I followed your advice and watched two ESL podcasts as mentioned below:
    ESL Podcast 172 – Legal Problems – 2006-06-12 and ESL Podcast 718 – Serving on a Jury – 2011-09-05
Amazing, man. Thanks for the tip. Use me whenever you need.
    Aecio

  7. Dan says:

    Hi

My breakfast is almost always made out of a slice of bread with a first layer of Nutella and a second one of apricot jam.
    As a drink, always Tea.

    Bye

  8. Tania says:

Hi! Is Nutella sweet? The apricot jam is sweet. Too much sweet, in my opinion. And milk for cats.
I am joking , Dan. Everyone eats what he likes.

By the way of the trees from Nebraska…
In “O Pioneers!” by Willa Cather there is a chapter named “The White Mulberry Tree”.

  9. Tania says:

    Hi!

“I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they
have to live than other things do.”

    Willa Cather Quote

  10. Tania says:

Hi! Dear Emiliano, very interesting your opinions about the places you have visited.
I like your comments as I learn a lot from your experiences.
    Please tell us more.
I’d like to visit London and Berlin.

  11. Tania says:

Hi! Sensations and feelings, not material things… Emiliano said.
    You are right, but…
If you don’t have yet a house where to live…well, I think that the most, most great pleasure is to have enough money
to buy one or to have money for bank debts payment.
A trip…thinking about a trip… yes, you can imagine all kind of things that could happen, all in a happy way,
    maybe with a happy end.

  12. Tania says:

Hi! I think that our blog friends would have to take into account Lucy’s wish:
reading more comments from us where to find our opinions and our desires.
We have to write more, all together. Just a line…

  13. peter says:

    Such a happy coincidence ,

I m having breakfast while listening to jeff about eating breakfast
I m having a rasion bagel toasted with creamchess and lox.and , Of course, a cup of coffee.
My phone just downloaded the latest episods
Every morning , as the first order of business I check if there is anything new in the world of Eslpod.i poke around everywhere :home page , blog , learning guid.
I just upload the latest leaning guide on eating breakfast! I usually read learning guid lessons at my lunch break!!
I check eslpod Even before rolling out of bed.
yup, on Mondays morning , I literally reap myself off of bed. I snooze the alarm on my iPhone six seven times till I give up and finally wake up. In fact ,it is my routine every Monday. I woke up while swearing away.
And some times it happens that I don’t take a shower or anything I stay in bed a bit longer instead!! I know , it sounds gross
But, u triage people. Prioritizing your tasks.
Sometimes I feel like I m stinking up the office on Mondays. Well , people around the office are nice enough not to throw it into my face. They just suffer through!!
I know it is a selfish act ! Well , in my defence , Typically i m not that jerky and inconsiderate. But , I admit some times I can be a huge a.s.

Today ,though , I ran myself a nice bath.
So now ,I m as clean as a whistle. You know,
I must be adult about it , right?
it is way better than sitting in your filth for 8 , 9 hours at the office.

Monday morning I m always like that : groggy and cranky : reluctant to start preparing for work .
However , on Fridays, I turn the tables all
Around. On Fridays , I m all agile like a monkey clumping up a tree.
I Jump out of bed and sprint to work as the only thing running through in the back of my mind is : TGIF
I m telling you , even morning coffee is the most delicious on Fridays and the yukyest on Mondays.

    Well, I m dead tried
    I m still stretching
    I m not home though
I m at Starbucks in the vicinity of my work place. The worst thing about Mondays Is that all men from upstairs show up at work as if they know people tend to slack off on Mondays.
Well , I decided to power right though today.

    God , I m exhausted

    Toodel-oo people

    Pete

  14. Tania says:

Hi! I look forward to receive the new number of the Learn English Magazine.
I read at least an article every day, and I always discover new meanings, new words, new phrases…
I have finished reading all the ten articles that I can access on The New York Times.
    I miss Jeff’s emails, too.

  15. Dan says:

    Hi
I am in bed with a terrible headaches and just want to say hello.

  16. Dan says:

    Hey Pete

At least you are aware of the fact you stink some Mondays.

There is a guy at my workplace that has really smelly feet.
Unfortunately he has his locker with his shoes in front of mine.
You would not believe the smell of death cheese there is there.

    Bye

  17. peter says:

    :))))))
    I hear you Dan

  18. Tania says:

Hi! Reading Learn English Magazine I found the meaning of the TGIF: thank God it is Friday.
    I agree with you, Peter.
I am sorry Dan for your headache. You are an optimist person. Hope for the best.

  19. peter says:

    Hi Dan,
    It is terrible !!
I sometimes have this splitting headache.

I usually take meds and crawl under my comforter.
Typically ,It happened to me when I m physically exhausted or having heavy food.
There is another solution to it that works for me. U need to sweat it off.
The minute my head start pounding I go for a run. I know ,it is hard even to move when u have a massive headache.
I forced myself and after one hour or so I m drenched in my sweat but the headache is all gone.
Some times coffee works too. On second thought ,coffee usually works for mild headache. For splitting headache the best medicine is some painkiller and plenty of rest and liquid!

Trust me mate. Next time u starting feeling a headache just go run it off!
It is a known to be the best medicine!

    Toodel-oo
    Pete

  20. peter says:

I like my breakfast eggs sonny-sideup
    Not too runny though.
Sometime I flip them so I can have my eggs over-easy. Well not so easy as when you break the yolk it runs and messes up the plate. I don’t like my morning eggs over -hard either. I like sth in the middle.
For sonny side up eggs I know a trick that keeps the yolk from breaking and running while frying in the pan.
Once I broke eggs and put them in the pan to fry , I pour a tad of oil on top of the yolk part of the eggs. And that is how it is done my friends. U put some oil on top of the eggs and they never broke not even if you flip them over with a spatula.

    Toodel-oo people

    Pete

  21. Dan says:

    Hey Pete

Living there, especially during the winter you must have a really massive and caloric breakfast in order to combat the frigid temperatures, is that right?

    Thanks

  22. peter says:

    Well,
The frigid temperature has nothing to do with breakfast habits or colory intakes.
No matter what u eat u still feel cold!
The breakfast diets remain the same. The only difference is people switch to hot beverages.

In summer time people are more into cold coffee and chocolate based beverages like ice coffee , chocklet cheap frapachino and whatnot.however , Winter time is all about scolding drinks like tea or coffee 4 or 5 times a day.when I say scolding ; I mean scolding !!!

The colory intake doesn’t feel u warm but the extra lawyer of clothing!
It is not the cold that bothers people most ,it is the damn constant windchill!

Trust me my good man when I tell you ,No amount of fatty food can make u feel warm once a constant icy wind is whipping a fierce ,freezing chill into your face
in 40 kilometres per hour.and I am stating lt lightly
U don’t wanna know how’s nasty it sometimes get!

    Toodel-oo mate

    Pete

  23. Aecio Flavio Perim says:
