    Lost (always lost…..again and again)

Lost I am without your happiness It gives me strength to continue this path
followed together since so long time Can´t remember waking up without your lap.

    Tell me

Tell me I’m not alone because I’m afraid.
Tell me I never will be because you will not leave me.
Tell me sleep next to me and rest.
Tell me you love me and I´ll be happy.

    Water in a dessert

    the water in the desert,
    the table for the castaway,
    the sun on the beach,
    the sea breeze,
    the blue in the sky,
for my you are that and more.

the love you on the lips,
    the color in the field,
    the shade of a tree,
    the rustle of the wind
in my life you will be that and more

    the role for a book,
    the strings for guitar,
    the sound in the voice,
    the air I breathe,
    the water for my life.
I need you so much and more.

    Where is the Sun?

    Where is the sun,
    where is the sky,
    where is my love.
    where she has gone.
    Far away from home
    you need to go
    what can I do
    when you be not.
    Too much to feel
    too much to think
    not now but soon
    she will be not home.
    Without you I must go
    extrange I will feel
    inside these extrange walls
    when you will be not.

Sooner or later Cuca will be not here at home with me, I try not to think too much about it, but ahead it is the real fact.
What will I do, not any idea but it is sure that the house will be not home any more.
Multiple Sclerosis is making it´s bad work inside her and after resisting me for a long time at last it has been necessary to ask for a nursing where she could receive a good care.
Doctor said me that once and again, so finally after talking with the social assistant and listening to her I gave my arm twisted and have done what they told me.
May be a year of waiting, six months, I don´t really know but little by little my mind is accepting the idea of letting her going out home.
In some way it is possible she could be better than here but not me that start to miss her before the fact happens.

    **********

She is not home now that is October 16th and I am really very sad.

What ESL podcast and the Blog has been the possibility of writing this poem and my inside feelings
directly in English that is not my language.
I wrote it in my own blog but in a foreign language what is really incredible, so Thank you so much
Jeff and Lucy, you have made me a bilingual person that thinks and feel in English the same as
    in Spanish.

This is a possibility for everyone of you, you that are reading this and not have the will of writing here.

Good or badly it is just the same, first post I wrote was a disaster but I tried once and again one
day after another and at the end, this, poems and thoughts directly in English.

Thank You Jeff dear friend, thank you Lucy, you are always inside of my heart and mind.

  5. Emin says:

Thanks for this podcast. Thanks a lot, Lucy and Jeff! I have been listening to this 3 years.

  6. Tania says:

    Hi,
Talking about the first seven jobs, I was in Berlin for a month this year, in August,
to take care of my niece till she adapts for kindergarten.
And I learned that you had to live there for understanding people and their habits,
    their behavior.
To appreciate an American writer … I think we have to live there where all cultures from the world
    are meeting, are interpenetrating.
The civil rights fight that shook the world, and now Europe…
In this actual context, I think Bob Dylan deserves the Nobel Prize.

  7. Tania says:

    Hi,
Dear Emiliano, I like very much all songs by John Lennon.
Maybe the truth is always at the middle.
    Thank you for your comments.

    Best wishes,

    Tania

  8. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

Nice poem, Emiliano. I am jealous about you because you declared your love to Lucy and I love her too. Every student loves her. Remember that she is our best friend and our best teacher.

  9. emiliano says:

Tania, that´s very good a controversy now and then it is nice and didactic for the
    Blog.
Nothing it is said about colors, just the same about what we like or not. I am
alder than you and I have to say that always him has been not nice for me.
    ¿Why?
I don´t know but having in mind I have listened his songs and his voice since
so long it´s clear that if at least a little interest about this person has to move
to buy a record of him.
Never in fact I have done such a thing, again ¿why?.
I like the song “Blowing in the Wind” but singed by Joan Baez who likes me
    a lot.
Another songs from him, always singed by Joan Baez, likes me.

In fact Baez emerged at the forefront of the American roots revival, where she introduced her audiences to the then-unknown Bob Dylan, and was emulated by artists such as Judy Collins, Emylee Harris, Joni Mitchell, and Bonnie Raitt. On November 23, 1962, Baez appeared on the cover of Time Magazine—a rare honor then for a musician.

So yes Joan Baez was the singer, I like her very much, who introduced at Bob Dylan, who was I think something like her
    boyfriend or similar.
Being a young I wrote to her, and she J.Baez replied to me sending a Photo of her that I stick on the wall of my bedroom.

    That´s all dear Tania.
May be J.Baez was very beautiful girl beside a good singer with a nice incredible voice.

    That´s the difference, ja,ja
Morena, black eyes, nice, beautiful, and singing folk songs.

    emiliano

  10. emiliano says:

I think it is a nice good topic to talk about, singers, old singers and talking about them I like very very much
Charles Aznavour, to me one of the best singers and composers of the last century.
He was even a good actor and has written lyrics for singers like Edith Piaff, Juliette Greco and so forth.
Edith Piaff protect him I think, and at the begining they were a duo.

Aznavour has dozens of good, very good songs, and just today with more then 92 he is still singing with that
his characteristic voice that I like so much.
It is something as incredible for a man of such an age, I would like to be like him.

Another singer I like so much was Jaques Brel, Belgium, and his son “Ne me quitte pas” was like a top hit of now.
If you don´t know this song or the singer, listen to it, it´s easy you have youtube.

When I listen to this song “ne me quitte pas” my body tremble, real and French takes its real
    dimension, an incredible beautiful language.

    emiliano

  11. emiliano says:

This is the man, I am not surprised
as he didn´t come here to Spain to received
the Principe of Asturias prize. Now the Swedish
Academy reject to be in touch with him as there
    is not any reply.
    What I have read:

Nobel panel gives up knockin’ on Dylan’s door
Days after being awarded the literature prize, Bob Dylan has yet to get in touch
with the Swedish Academy, or indicate whether he will attend the celebrations

ja,ja, this confirm the idea I have of the person, too proud and even not
    humble at all.

    emiliano

  12. Tania says:

    Hi,
Yes, dear Emiliano, I can understand your fury.
I like very, very much “La Boheme” by Charles Aznavour, and…
I know the song “Ne Me Quitte Pas” by Jaques Brel.
I think that I know many of European hits, but less of American hits.
That is the reason for that I like so much our ESLPodcast site.

Best wishes to you and your wife Cuca.

    Tania

  13. Tania says:

    Hi,

Dear Aecio, we all love our dear Lucy, our dear teacher.

    Best wishes to you,

    Tania

  14. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

    Hi,
Dear Tania, thanks for remembering me and I agree with you: Lucy is lovaly.
    Best wishes for you too.
    Aecio

  15. emiliano says:

ja ja Tania you make me laugh, no I am not furious by the contrary It´s funny that the Nobel
has going down so low about some of their rewards.

    To the Peace:

    Henry Kissinger
    Al Sadat
    Kofi Annan
    Arafat
    Carter
    Al Gore
    B Obama
    J.M. Santos

    ?????

why not Jeff? you? Lucy? or even me?

Without any comments by my side.

  16. Aecio Flavio Perim says:

And me too. Who would not like to get a nobel award?
