  1. Tania says:

    Hi!
    Knock knock.
    Who’s there?
    A student.
    A student who?
    Your student.

  2. Tania says:

    Hi!
I like knock-knock jokes, but we have to know English very well for to play with words.

  3. Tania says:

    Hi!
I like Jack London. “White Fang ” is a very well known book for children in my country.
Many years ago I read “Martin Eden” , but I forgot the writer.
A pleasure to talk about Martin Eden. I remember that reading this book I had no idea about the parallel between socialism and Nietzschean individualism.
I liked Martin Eden for his struggle for self-education to become a writer.
I can’t forget the scene when he was just a rough, uneducated sailor invited at a rich family.

  4. peter says:

    Hi chief,
    Jeff u r fun!!!
The video post a few weeks back is delightful!!!
    I just keep watching it!

    U r amazing man !!!

Thanks for all u have done as I live in an English-speaking city in which eslpod is not a luxury but necessity !!!

  5. Tania says:

    Hi!
    I can’t forget Martin Eden’s thoughts:
“Why didn’t you dare it before? he asked harshly.
When I hadn’t a job? When I was starving?… That’s the question I’ve been asking myself for many a day.
And what is puzzling me is why they want me now.
Surely they don’t want me for myself… They must want me for something that is not I.
Shall I tell you what that something is? It is for the recognition I have received.
That recognition is not I. Then again for the money I have earned and am earnin.
    But money is not I.”

  6. Tania says:

Hi! In my opinion, a very sad and unfair end for such a man like Martin Eden.

  7. Tania says:

    Hi!
I like and Jack London’s Credo. May I share it with you?

“I would rather be a superb meteor,
every atom of me in magnificent glow,
than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.
    I shall use my time.”

  8. Tania says:

    Hi!
Thank you. I really like Jack London’s works.
Unfortunately I have read not too many of them.

  9. Tania says:

    Hi!
What can we do with such many doors?
    – The Doors, the psychedelic rock group, Jim Morrison, the leader ;
    – The Doors of Perception by Aldoux Huxley;
    – Behind the Secret Doors.
And I remember of a book “Behind Closed Doors”.

Talking about the psychedelic music associated with counterculture, it reached a peak in between 1967 and 1969
with the Summer of Love and Woodstock Rock Festival.
And the “27 Club” has a link with the psychedelic music.
You told us about the “27 Club”, Woodstock Rock Festival, but just to remember…
The “27 Club” is a term that refers to a number of popular musicians who died at age 27, often as a result of drug and alcohol abuse, such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, all died at the age of 27.

  10. Tania says:

    Hi!
I had to go to the public library for “The Doors of Perception” by Aldoux Huxley.
We do not have such of books on drugs.
I think we have books about how to fight against the abuse of drug and alcohol.
Very, very dangerous for our young people who use drugs especially the hallucinogenic drugs.

  11. Tania says:

    Hi!
I know a joke with ‘Doors”.
If the optimism does not knock at your door… make a door!

  12. emiliano says:

    I day like today (April 30th 1970)

Who can foresee life will be like when someone decides to take the plunge and joined to the one that inspires you every day, to the woman he loves, or the
man who will be her soulmate, mate or partner without which that life is meaningless.

So a ceremony or a simple promise seals the commitment to share everything.

It promises to be forever, or at least what movies or sometimes real life shows us, it is difficult to keep but many people succeed.

However it happens often more than desired, that love becomes aversion, someone who inspires us happens to be the enemy, and the
new lives that may have procreate are the source of disputes and endless lawsuits.

I try to remember my feelings forty-five years in which such day ago like today I decided to take the step of joining my life that’s still my partner, my friend, my love always, my wife.

I do not remember my feelings, but I remember my dream to get her ever for me, the one girl I was was in love, and I did not quite believe that she
came with me to start a new life together. Yes it was like a dream when she said “yes I do” becayse scarcely I could believe she was in love with me till that point.

How would it last ?. No, I had no an idea, it was not a topic to raise it, just we lived our time forward, which is when you are in love and we live in a cloud
that transports us to a world of everyday illusions.

Full Happiness made ??everyday reality by having the loved one on our side, my side, and so one day, another one, weeks, months, and years.

Life goes by so fast, and without feeling almost thousands of anecdotes that populate our memories are long, and very different today.

A day like today, April 30th, forty-five years ago we promised, for each other aloud we said each other “Si, I promiss” (in Spanish) or “Yes, I do” and here
we are continuing our life together, friends, companions, spouses and parents of three daughters , tuteladores now our cat as the daughters went out home
and grandchildren have not come as might have been mine or hers desire at some point over.

“Thanks to life which has given me so much”, your honey, your company, your absolute love without any doubt, always together, always loving and well over
    the last forty five years.

Thanks Cuca, my dearest friend and companion.

  13. emiliano says:

Last sunday I have returned from Netherland where I have been for nine days.
It has been a marvellous trip and I like this country absolutely.

People in Amsterdam and other cities are so pleasant and kind that it has
been a great pleasure to talk in English with lot of them.

Cesar, my friend, and me were also in Belgium and could see Brussels, Brujas
    and Gante.
Incredible cities that I like so much.

Cuca was here at home and Isabel, Cesar´s couple was taking care of her
full day meanwhile emiliano was traveling.

To me may be Amsterdam it is one of the most beautiful city I have ever seen.
Yes, I think os, it is really incredible and the weather was great.

I wanted to be here on 30th as it is said above, 45 years since I got married
    with my loving Cuca.

That is all my ESL´s friends

  15. lili:) says:

    Hi Emiliano

Many congratulations to you and Cuca on your 45th Wedding Anniversary! Very well done!

Life is a journey! It’s nice to have someone to travel together. It’s even nicer when you can find time to write down a record of it in this beautiful space.

I’m very pleased to hear that you went to Netherlands and now back to Spain. Nine days is a long time when you miss Cuca and Gatufo at home. However, it’s always nice to come back to a sweet home.

You bought an expensive watch in London last time. What did you buy this time? What is famous in Netherlands?

Look forward to hearing more of your travelling experience.

    Best Regards

    lili:)

  16. emiliano says:

Very good memory Lili, it is incredible that you remember my experience in Harrows and being also the first to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW
dear Lucy, be happy as much as possible.

Now I coud say to you that yes, I have a new watch from Amsterdam, a Longines that is round my wrist just in this moment. I wanted a Longines since
a long time and I have found one, not very expensive in the beautiful incredible nice city of Amsterdam.

What I didn´t say you Lili is that last year I bought a nice Tag Heur in Munich´s Airport, free of taxes as it is in the international site of the airports, but
not only emiliano had a nice thing for him, also Cuca had her Chanel nº 5 the same as Isabel who was taken care of her. Both are now important for
    me.
This has been last week, last year was a different perfum, and the women have been happy not so much for the gift but for remembering them instead.
Well I think thar remembering the persons you love has more value than other beautiful things.

Thank you so much dear Lili, you are also one of the most beautiful persons here in the blog. May be some day I could fly to Hong Kong and give you
    my personal greetings…….ja,ja,
Who knows, emiliano is traveling now.

Once more my best wishes for you Lucy in you BIRTH DAY that will be tomorrow.

    emiliano
