  1. emiliano says:

    A single poem:

    SILENT LOVE

    Years never counted lived together
    unimagined nights of lovers
    past autumn evenings in silence
    thousand not farseeing kisses.

    ++

    Lives beautiful as foreshadowed not
    yours and mine, so ignored
sometimes I feel I need to count
so everyone could even know .

    ++

Love like ours was true and it is
    not noised, quiet, never anounced
was born, grew up everything to be
    here with you, always content.

    ++

Don’t be exited, you have not noticed
    overflowing love be calm
    remains silent, quiet, ecstatic
    alone, happy, isolated.

    ++

  2. Dan says:

Hello everyone, how are you all guys? I am good.

Ok, listen describing this is going to be hard for me, because I do not like referring to people as “White” “Black” “African American” and words such as “Race”.

I am going to look up on the web for alternative words I prefer instead of the ones listed above.

Anyway, this Sunday morning as I got up, I turned on the TV and was looking for something while sipping my tea.

Now, since I only have a handful of channels, the one you get for free such as BBC, NHK, CNBC, AL JAZEERA and so on my options are very little. So, I tuned on CNBC.

This is very interesting. There were a series of preachers, of this church I do not remember the name of.

What struck me is that they thought of everything, even the ethnicity of their audience.

They have the “Rock star kind of Asian preacher” for the Asians. He is dressed all in black and looks like an Elvis.

I am sorry guys, but I think I hit a wall here. I was looking for “politically correct terms for blacks and it turn out that it is African American” I still do not like it, but I have no choice so I am going to use it.

They have the “African American” preacher for “African Americans”

Then, of course you have the preacher for the remaining ethnicity groups over there.
It looks like they took care of everything there. It also looks like they are having good business with all that preaching.

WOW, writing this, I have just realized it is very hard to describe people’s ethnicity without using the terms “White” “Black” and so on.
I am literally sweating here trying to do that.

Any advice from you guys on how to do that? I still do not like those terms, but it seems like we have no other alternatives running the risk of sounding ridiculous.
At least those are terms anyone is using.

    Ok, enough from me today.

Bye and enjoy your coming week.

  3. Dan says:

Me again, I know! I apologize.

I was thinking that those terms are like the phrase”The Sun is rising”

That is wrong because we are the one spinning around and rotating around it.

Still, we use those every day ” Sun rising” the “Sun is going down”

I was thinking on how many erroneous terms, or that we do not like, we use daily. Still, it looks like there are not alternatives for those.

Ok, now really I am going. I do not want to sound like a nut case.

  4. emiliano says:

Dan it is just the same as when we are in a car or a train, it seems we
don´t move, the are the houses, trees, nountains, which are moving
for our eyes, as fast as we move the faster it seems things are going
    off from our sight.
Of course the sun doesn´t rise or going down, but for our eyes Yes
    it does,

    Nothing more.

Everything is relative in our life, time doesn´t past are we the one who
    are passing through time.

So yes, our way of talking is not real but some how it is because
everything are going throug our eyes, life, or simple minds.

We talk, write and see all the world figuratively, by our own senses
not real as it could be for other creatures.

Well, that´s my point of view, only that, but may be you are absolutely
right, and we use to talk and to write wrongly, of course dear Dan.

  5. Aécio Flávio Perim says:

Just wait and watch all the podcast this weel.

  6. Dan says:

Thank you Emiliano for reading my stuff.

It’s is nice to have someone to interact with every once in a while.

Hey Emiliano, here’s a question for you:

What do you think about that thing everyone is doing “The ice bucket challenge” would you consider doing that?
Or, would you rather donate the money? How are Cuca and Gatufo?

    Thanks, bye

  7. emiliano says:

Yes Dan, I read always all the posts and even yours I like to read them with great pleasure.

Cuca has been not so good, she couldn´t get up from the wheelchair, I have to pull her up
with my arms doing a great effort.
I think she had an outbreak in her M.E., even she had great pain with the trigeminal nerve,
but since three or four days she going just a bit better.

Gatufo is O.K., the best emiliano´s friend by all means.

I have seen the youtube video of this boy who has his mother with ELA, and now he is
suffering the same disease, it has nothing to do with M.E., but some how has some
    similitudes.

I would prefer to donate money than doing ice bucket challenge, I don´t like cold water
    by all means.
You know Dan, I have been reading all the news in relation with the M.E. disease and
there is nothing to cure it till the moment.
Also the drugs to treat the outbreaks of the illness are higly expensive and very strong
    of supporting.
My dear Cuca is not with this treatment as her M.E. is progresive secondary and there
is not any drug or treatment fo it.
Some how is better because the drugs are very destructive, intererones and so on.

Thank you Dan for you concern and be happy.

  8. Tania says:

Hi! We practice (only for some days) “the ice bucket challenge” on TV, of course the riches.
They look good on TV smiling, proud of their riches, and with their kindness
they challenge another people to follow their example.
Difficult to maintain and develop the health and research system by “the ice bucket challenge”.
It seems to be a “good joke”.

  9. Marcos says:

    Hi everyone

    ( podcast 1033 )

Jeff, I know a little about soccer and I tell you something, if one european team play with one south american team and win for 7 to 0 it’s a complete blowout. lol

Thanks and have a nice weekend
