    Hey guys,

After a week with the thermometer around the 30s, this weekend over here we had some relief with the help of a storm that pushed down the temperatures.

It was too hot for hiking. Since today it was cloudy and fresh I went up but did not see any deer. I just met three guys carrying their mountain bikes over a dangerous stretch of road.

It is always cool/fascinating looking at this huge pieces of pink rock pushed up in vertical position when the African plate pushed forming the European Alps. I am not sure but I think is still pushing.

Locking at those rocks standing that way, one really feel the huge amount of power for pushing entire mountains that way.

It is always a pleasure to see certain trees growing in between the rocks and they just help each other standing up. Otherwise they would go down.

Today I had the pleasure of admiring several little birds, insects, spiders and a lovely little black butterfly with white spots on its wings and a red belt along its belly.

    Thanks

Just incredible and some how funny.
A jar of cold water over each one of millions Spanish people.

The lesson could be “not to sell the skin of the bear before chase it”
and this was what every one here were doing since long.

  4. Betty says:

Today I’m back to this hot and humid place called Hong Kong. Yesterday’s mild weather and pleasant place called Los Angeles is so far away from here. You Angelinos are so lucky!

Thank you Emiliano, Dan and MMC for your encouragement for me to see more of LA.

I did try my best to see LA as much as possible. Unfortunately I had not bumped into Jeff during this short visit. Hopefully I’ll have better luck next time.

Emiliano you are right about afraid of coming to LA. It’s not easy. Remember Jeff always tells us that LA hasn’t got very good public transportation and so every one drives their own car. There are so many private cars everywhere! Hopefully it is easier for you when you go to see Dresden in Germany next month. Please do tell us more when you have visited the place.

Thank you MMC for reminding us about Cuca’s birthday.

Happy Belated Birthday Cuca! May All Your Birthdays and Unbirthdays be Happy Ones!

    Best Regards

    Betty 🙂

  5. Tania says:

Hi! HAPPY BIRTHDAY , dear Cuca!

    Best wishes,

    Tania

  6. emiliano says:

Thank you very much Tania and Betty, in the name of Cuca and mine
    too.

She is happy when her good friends call her by phone and wish her
    a Happy Birthday.

Yesterday I have written in gatufo´s blog (in Spanish) a story dedicated
to her, in fact it is her story when she was a baby and a children.
After so many years together I know every single thing about her story
when she was a baby and could write a single nice story about her.
It was like a gift to my dear best friend and couple for the last 44 years,
    nearly a whole life.

    Thank you again. emiliano
