Undoubtedly, fiction books are very interesting. One of the most interesting book I read was Digital Fortress wrote by Dan Brown, the same writer of The Da Vinci Code.

I like these books also, very much indeed, and I'll look for Alexander McCall's books as soon as possible.
I may recomend you also the books of Dona Leon with inspector Brunetti and his family as main character of her books. All of them take place in Venice, where is livin Dona Leon, and I think they are very good novels about people who live in that city. I didn't read them in English so I don't know if it is easy English or not.
And talking about good mysteries books, my favorits are Henning Mankel's books with inspector Wallander as main character. All his books are placed in Sweden as he is a Swedish writter well known here in Europe, and all of them are really quite good, for me the best.
If you read some of them it should be appropiate to read them in order, as the life of the characters (Wallander, family, and fellows) are quite important.

Sounds interesting! ;)
I'll try to find this book in our bookstore )
I also like fiction. Couple of days ago I read two books, "The Da Vinci Code" and "I'm Legend". Now I'm reading "Double Cross" by James Patterson.
